FROM THE HORSE'S MOUTH...(Letter from the sellers)

When we refer to our house to visitors, we call it the Yellow House. When you come down Chestnut street, you will see this pleasant lemon-yellow house over a beautiful elevation basking in the sun.
This was our first home where as a young couple we raised two kids through college and have many beautiful memories tied to it.
If there is only one thing we can say about our house, it would be “convenience”. Access to necessities of daily life is plenty, from grocery stores, amazing eateries, bakeries, butcher shops, doctors’ offices, kids’ activities, parks, etc., all within minutes' drive. Access to major highways is easy, but at the same time, they are at a distance where there is no highway noise. Commuting to Boston is pretty convenient by train. It is just 4 miles to the Andover commuter rail station. Boston Logan airport is 28 miles.
The North Andover school system is among the best ones in Massachusetts. We are minutes from both North Andover and Andover libraries. The YMCA is about a 10 min drive. There are many summer activities at the town common which is a 10 min walk. There are concerts, a sheep shearing festival, farmer’s market, etc.
Over the years we made sure to use professional landscaping for establishing the lawn, planting local perennial shrubs and trees, and maintaining them. With two beautiful mature Japanese maples trees and a flowering Plum, young fruit bearing Plum trees, a pink Dogwood and a white Birch, the curb appeal is only going to get better with time. The beautiful lilies that bloom in the summer are quite a treat.
We put in upgrades to make the house safer for children. We successfully petitioned the town to build a sidewalk in front of our house which we used to take walks with the kids or bike around the neighborhood. The fence on the retaining wall gives the kids an additional nice enclosed space to play in or have a tea party. We have used professional pest control for many years to make sure there are no unwelcome visitors.
The beautiful large 14x20 deck installed by a Trex platinum level installer has low voltage lights on all four corner posts driven off a light sensor and has a nice ambience to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine on a summer evening.
The yard on the other side is large enough to run around, play catch or play with pets. Our son loved to fly his drone here and over the hill in the backyard.
During winter, the hill is snow packed and is quite a sight to behold. Our kids and their friends loved to tread up and sled down.
The love we put into this house does not stop outside. We originally got many upgrades from the builder, but we enhanced those further to make the house more comfortable, healthy and safe.
We have entertained up to 5 families easily in this house and it does not feel crowded. The open floor plan makes it easy for people to flow all across the first floor. The large family room has also transformed into an impromptu dance floor a few times.
We get plenty of sunlight in the house as it is open on all sides. The family room is a joy to be in all day with the ample light. The kitchen and breakfast area get fresh morning sunlight. There is nothing like pouring a fresh cup of coffee in the morning and stepping out to the morning sun splashed deck to the sounds of birds chirping.
All the windows have Hunter Douglas honeycomb window shades.
We will surely miss this home and the comfort and convenience it brought us for many years, but as we become empty nesters and enter a new chapter in our lives, it is time to move on and let new memories be formed by another deserving family.
